Bread baking with Gabriel Schliffer

Bread baking will be a special one day workshop in combination with drawing that will go through the steps and processes of kneading, shaping, and baking Sourdough bread into beautiful loaves. All students will be able to keep a loaf! You will have the option of making, rye, whole wheat, multigrain, or white bread sourdough. This workshop will be in conjunction with the Drawing workshop, so that when the bread is rising, you can go draw for an hour or two. Its going to be lots of fun!

So come get your hands sticky and smell the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread.

Instructor Gabriel Schilffer grew up on the Rochester Folk Art Guild, and learned bread baking from his mother Annie Schliffer. Recently he studied with Jim Post at a delicious bakery in Argyle New York.
