Drawing

Participants will develop drawing skills using multiple tools and design concepts. The workshop invites participants of varying levels to address compositional elements, styles and the use of materials. The emphasis of the class will be upon drawing what the individual’s eye experiences.

ROBIN SECREST graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire in 1976, and obtained an MFA in painting from the Maryland Institute of Art in 1981. She has interned at the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University and at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Since 1982, she has taught beginning and intermediate drawing in a wide variety of settings, including locally at the Yates County Arts Council in Penn Yan from 2003 – present, the South Bristol Cultural Center from 2002 – 2005, and the Granger Homestead in Canandaigua. From 1982 – present, she has also been the business manager of Secrest Glass in Naples, New York
