"Love goes through the stomach" is an old proverb....  Here at the Guild's craft and farm community we find out easily the individual member's special like for his or her birthday cake and often it is decorated with the implements or copies of the crafts he works in.  There was a wheelbarrow with flowers for a gardener on top of a cake, a xylophone for one who makes them and a loom for a weaver.  Wedding cakes here are the most special of all.

For the holiday time from Thanksgiving through Christmas we offer at our craft sales a great variety of cakes and kuchen, traditions from many lands.  We are not amazed any more when people come in dashing to the bakiing counter and only then turn their attention to the crafts.

Oh for a good Kugelhopf!
